Hidden Acres offers a simple flat-rate fee, covering all the essentials for your wedding. This includes the wedding venue, accommodation, equipment, marquee, props and styling, plus coordinator support throughout your stay. You’ll also have 2-night, 3-day access to Hidden Acres, with additional access to the marquee during the week leading up to your wedding, giving you plenty of time to add personal touches and stock your bar without feeling rushed.

Yes. Hidden Acres offers exclusive use of the venue, giving you and your guests private access to the grounds and facilities for your celebration.

Hidden Acres is in the process of becoming a legally licensed venue. We’re aiming to be licensed for January 2027, but in the case of any unforeseen issues that prevent this, we shall remain a celebrant-led venue.

While we host our weddings during the peak summer season, we understand that British weather can be unpredictable. To ensure your special day runs smoothly, we have a few options: We can hire in an additional stretch tent to cover the ceremony area, (at added cost). We provide matching umbrellas for everyone. We can also host the ceremony inside the marquee, which offers the same beautiful view as the ceremony space. For each wedding, we closely monitor the weather in the days leading up to the event to ensure we are fully prepared.

Guide dogs are always welcome. Couples getting married can also have their dog present, as long as they’re on a lead and has a dedicated handler. This must be pre-approved by our onsite coordinator. For the safety of our livestock and to protect the farm environment, dogs cannot be let off the lead at any time.

As a rural wedding venue, Hidden Acres faces some challenges in providing full wheelchair accessibility due to the natural landscape and historic features of the site. However, guests who use wheelchairs may be driven (car) directly to the marquee entrance, allowing easy access to the main event space. Where required, we can arrange for a wheelchair-accessible toilet unit to be hired for the event. We encourage all couples to visit the venue and assess whether the facilities and layout are suitable for the needs of their guests before confirming their booking.

The farmhouse features two living room rooms, a conservatory, a kitchen, and a dining room. It includes 6 bedrooms. The house sleeps 14 people.

Absolutely, we encourage all prospective clients to tour the wedding venue. This allows you to fully appreciate the beauty and atmosphere of the location. We would be delighted to arrange a personal tour at a time that suits you. Please contact us to schedule your visit.

We recommend booking the venue at least 8 to 12 months in advance to secure your date. Popular wedding months and weekends tend to fill up quickly, so early booking ensures you have the best chance of reserving your ideal time.

We allow corkage-free drinks and can provide an empty bar with fridges. However, you’ll need to supply all related items such as cups, ice, spirits, mixers, staff, etc. If you'd prefer not to bring your own alcohol, you can hire a third party bar.

We can accommodate up to 120 guests during the day and 150 guests during the evening. However, there is some flexibility with this, so should you wish to go over these numbers, just let us know.

Our dedicated coordinator and team will support you throughout your wedding planning. We provide all the guidance you need, including template running sheets to kick-start your planning with confidence. Once every detail of your special day is carefully planned, with our coordinator, we’ll check in regularly and meet with you ahead of the wedding, so when the time comes, you can truly hand over the reins. From that point on, our coordinator will take charge, ensuring your wedding day unfolds seamlessly, allowing you to focus on enjoying every moment.

The marquee will be fully set up and ready for you by your Friday check-in. You can gain access earlier in the week. You’re welcome to add your own personal touches to make it uniquely yours. We kindly ask that all areas of the property are returned to their original condition before you leave. Please note, anyone using a ladder must have appropriate insurance and health and safety policies in place for working at heights.

Three empty bell tents will be set up on the garden grounds of the farmhouse. Your guests can enjoy the camping experience by bringing their own blow-up mattresses and bedding. The tents are offered at no additional cost and is included. Your guests can also bring their own tents to set up camp in the gardens.

Background music is permitted during the day, but due to the proximity of local residents, all loud music must conclude by 11:00 pm. After this time, noise levels should be kept to a minimum. Silent disco is allowed for after hours.

If you prefer to use your own vendor, please ensure they coordinate with our on-site coordinator to arrange a site recce. Although we also have a go-to list of recommended vendors to help with the planning. Contractors are expected to operate independently and should not rely on the property's kitchen or electricity supply. They should be able to operate 'off grid'. Catering should not use the farmhouse kitchen as this is for those staying in the house. Your caterers may request you hire in a generator to suit their operational needs.

A 25% deposit is required to secure your date and confirm the booking. The remaining 50% is due no later than 6 months before the event. The final balance is due no later than 3 months prior to the event. All above payments are non-refundable. A refundable £1,000 damages deposit is also required at the time of final payment.

Check-in is available from 3:00 PM on Friday. We recommend using this time to settle in and have a practice run of your ceremony with our coordinator. You can walk through the ceremony, test the music, practise walking down the aisle, and even try out those heels on the grass! It’s a great opportunity to make sure everything feels comfortable and familiar before the big day.

Our farmhouse offers three master bedrooms, providing ample space for both wedding parties to prepare comfortably. Conveniently located directly opposite the ceremony lawn, the farmhouse remains accessible throughout the day, allowing the wedding party to use the house as needed.

It is imperative that the entire property is returned to us in good condition. We kindly request that you and your wedding party ensure all areas of Hidden Acres are cleared and left in the same state as upon arrival. We will provide ample bins and bin bags for your convenience. All rubbish from the farmhouse and marquee is to be taken with you.

Our standard hire period begins on Friday at 3:00 PM, giving you access to the farmhouse, gardens, and marquee. Check-out is by Sunday at 3:00 PM. You may access the marquee earlier in the week. We kindly ask that the farmhouse, garden, field, and marquee be left clear and tidy of any rubbish upon departure.

Field parking is available for up to 60 cars. Please note that vehicles are left at the owner's risk, and Hidden Acres cannot be held responsible for any damage to vehicles or loss of personal belongings on the premises. In the event of heavy rain, if the parking field becomes inaccessible, guests will be asked to park on the street and walk to the venue. The walk takes approximately 10 minutes.

We do not provide confetti. Any confetti brought onto the site must be biodegradable, with no plastics or glitter allowed. Only dried petals are permitted.

All fires must be contained within our designated fire pits. Fire pits, along with seating and logs are available at no added charge.

Chinese lanterns are not permitted at Hidden Acres. Only low-noise fireworks are permitted, with prior notice, and a professional company must oversee all aspects of the display. No candles are permitted to be lit inside the farmhouse. Candles may only be used outside or within the marquee, provided they are placed in suitable containers. T&Cs apply.

Hidden Acres carries its own public liability insurance. However, we strongly recommend that clients secure their own wedding insurance to cover any non-refundable costs in the event of a cancellation.
